The Nation’s Capital, Washington, District of Columbia is not a State but still has plenty of the amenities of a small city. The District is located on the East Coast of the United States, in the Mid-Atlantic region. It is strategically positioned in near both the Northern Virginia and Maryland borders, creating an area known as the DMV. The district has its own laws that are often different than those in its bordering states.

Washington, DC is easily accessible via highways via Interstate 395, Rte. 66 and I695. The city is also accessible via air with Reagan International Airport just a few minutes outside the city in nearby Arlington, Virginia. It is also under an hour away from Dulles International Airport. Both airports can handle both cargo and passengers, and both are accessible via metro rail for passengers.
Washington, DC is positioned along the Potomac and Anacostia Rivers, but the closest large capacity port is the Port of Baltimore, Maryland which is just a few hours’ drive from The District. The district also has rail access via CSX.
